How do I secure a same/next day appointment?

We can offer same/next day appointments subject to availability. This is charged at an additional £45. If you wish to enquire about this premium service, use our contact form or email us at info@morayultrasound.co.uk

How do I prepare for my scan?

Some of our scans require you to fast or have a full bladder. You will receive a copy of these instructions via email when you complete your booking. Failure to follow the preparation instructions may result in your scan being incomplete and no refund issued.

What can I expect on the day of my scan?

On the day of your scan, our friendly reception staff will check you in. Our sonographer will then take you to our spacious, comfortable scanning room. You will be asked to complete some paperwork and have a chat with our friendly sonographer before your scan commences.

During the scan, some gel will be applied to your skin. The sonographer will move the probe over your abdomen/pelvis and record some images.

The sonographer will then provide a report to you, within 3 working days. We are unable to provide any advice regarding treatment or definitive diagnoses. We will provide a report to help your medical professional with diagnosis.

Your scan appointment will last between 15-30 mins, depending on the anatomy we need to look at. We allocate time for you to complete paperwork, chat to our sonographer about your symptoms and then complete the scan.
