Terms and Conditions

  • We will perform an ultrasound scan based on the information you have given us about your symptoms.

  • Prior to the scan appointment you will have been given preparation instructions via email. Failure to follow these instructions may result in the inability to perform the examination. If you fail to follow preparation instructions, one rescan appointment will be offered free of charge. After this, another appointment will be fully chargeable.

  • Our Sonographers do not have access to your detailed medical history. We are not able to give advice regarding treatment or possible diagnosis. Advice should be sought from your GP.

  • We always advise discussing any health concerns you have with your GP in the first instance.

  • We will put some gel on your skin and move the ultrasound probe around. This is usually painless. If you are in pain and need the Sonographer to stop-say at anytime.

  • Ultrasound has some limitations. We cannot be held responsible for poor quality images that are outwith our control. Limitations for ultrasound include:

    • High BMI

    • Large amounts of bowel gas

    • Position of internal organs/Body Habitus
